FDL Street Conditions

A little over half the of the 170 miles of streets in the City of Fond du Lac are in good to very good shape according to a review City Engineer Paul DeVries did recently for the City Council. It was part of a presentation on the City’s special assessment policy. DeVries says there are about 32 miles of streets in poor to fair condition that are not currently listed in their 5-year capital improvements projects nor will be for the immediate future. He says currently the City does about 2.5 miles of street improvements a year. He says they have a good CIP and clear water program, but there is a need out there. DeVries assessment of street conditions was based on road conditions from 2015. (City of Fond du Lac photo)
