FDL Woman Competes For Mrs. United States Crown

A Fond du Lac woman travels to Las Vegas this weekend to participate in next week’s Mrs. United States pageant. Aundrea Coon was crowned 2013 Mrs. Wisconsin United States here in Fond du Lac after competing with 11 other women. She says she’s had some wonderful opportunities during her reign as Mrs. Wisconsin so far including handing out medals at the Special Olympics in Stevens Point, singing the National Anthem at a Wisconsin Timber Rattlers game and helping build a home for Habitat for Humanity. Her platform has to do with Type 1 diabetes, which her husband has. A former Miss Fond du Lac, she’s held several crowns so she’s not too nervous about next week’s competition.
