FDL Woman Gets Jail And Probation For Child Abuse

The 47-year-old Fond du Lac woman who abused two boys has been sentenced to 18 months in jail and 3 years of probation. Fond du Lac County Judge Robert Wirtz recently sentenced Jeana Riehl on the two child abuse charges she pled no contest to in January. Eight other charges were read into the record and dismissed or dismissed on a prosecutor’s motion. According to the criminal complaint her abuse of the 11 and 12-year-old boys happened over a six year span. The complaint alleges she used a rolling pin, cutting board, horse whip, plastic and wooden spoons, and a hunting arrow. One of the boys was also allegedly locked in a bathroom for several weeks only being allowed out for a meal. In January her 47-year-old husband Troy Riehl was sentenced to two years of probation on a child neglect charge and reached a deferred prosecution agreement on two other charges. He knew about the abuse, but did nothing to prevent it.
