FDL Woman Hurt In Sheboygan County Accident

Two people were injured, one seriously, in separate crashes in Sheboygan County late Saturday and early yesterday morning.  The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department said 49 year old David Flanum of Sturgeon Bay was hospitalized with serious injuries about five o’clock yesterday morning when he fell asleep at the wheel as he headed north on I-43.  His car went into the median and crossed into the southbound lanes before striking a bridge abutment.  Flanum was taken by ambulance to St. Nicholas Hospital.  The other accident occurred about 11:30  Saturday night on Highway 57 just south of Plymouth when an SUV driven by 67 year old Alan Boogren of Fond du Lac swerved to avoid three deer, went into the median and then rolled over.  Boogren’s wife Dianne was hospitalized for treatment of minor injuries.
