FDL Woman in Custody After High Speed Chase

A 38-year-old woman
from Fond du Lac
is in custody after leading sheriff’s deputies on a high speed chase early this
(Thursday) morning. Around 12:30 am, deputies attempted to pull the woman over
for going 78 miles-per-hour in a 55 mile-per-hour zone on Highway 23 near
County Highway C in the Town of Lamartine.
The woman failed to stop, then continued driving east on Highway 23 to
Interstate 41, then south on I-41 to Highway 151 with speeds reaching 115 miles
per hour. Waupun Police assisted the Sheriff’s Department in setting out tire
deflation devices on Highway 151 at County
Highway AS. The deflation device was successful
and the vehicle came to a stop at Highway 151 and Highway 26. The woman is
facing charges of felony fleeing/eluding, operating a motor vehicle while impaired,
operating after revocation, reckless driving and illegal possession of
prescriptions.
