February is Here – That Means Spring Primary Election is Approaching Fast

February has begun, and that means the beginning of a busy
election year is almost here. Voters will head to the polls on February 18th
for the Spring Primary Election, and Fond du Lac County Clerk Lisa Freiberg
says now is the time to make sure that you are ready to cast your ballot.

“Make sure that you are registered to vote at the location
that you are residing at today, or 10 days before the election,” Freiberg said.
“Also, remember you do need a picture ID to vote – no more excuses on ‘I didn’t
have to do this the last time I voted’ – the last time you did vote and you are
a registered voter, you did show your ID.”

Freiberg says if you aren’t able to register in advance, you
can also register at the polls on Election Day. She encourages all residents to
visit myvote.wi.gov to check their registration status, find their polling
place and to see what’s on their ballot. Questions can also be directed to the
County Clerk’s office by calling 920-929-3000.
