Federal Judge Rejects Request To Block Wolf Hunt

A federal judge has rejected a request to block the fall wolf hunt in Wisconsin.

Six different bands of Ojibwe filed that lawsuit in federal court to match a lawsuit in Dane County which has already put a hold on the hunt.

Judge James Patterson cited that successful block in his rejection. But Judge Patterson says he wants the DNR to examine its methods on setting future quotas for the hunt after members of the tribes argued that the Natural Resources Board tried to overhunt the wolves once again this year by recommending a quota of 300.
