Fewer Deer Taken In FDL County During Gun Deer Hunt
Hunters in Fond du Lac County harvested 6 percent fewer deer during the recently completed 9-day gun deer hunt than they did during the 2016 season. According to preliminary numbers from the DNR a total of 2,301 deer were taken this season compared to 2,448 last year. The break down for this season was 1,119 bucks and 1,182 antlerless deer. Totals were also down in Calumet, Dodge, Green Lake, Sheboygan, Washington and Winnebago counties.
