Feyen Says Bounce Back Program Is Step In Right Direction

On Monday, Governor Evers released the Badger Bounce Back plan, providing guidelines that must be met before unleashing the Wisconsin economy. Senator Dan Feyen (R) from Fond du Lac, was quick to issue a press release shortly after the announcement, saying “This has been a difficult time for many Wisconsinites, as we all struggle to deal with both the health and economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Feyen went on to say “I am thankful to Governor Evers for finally showing our citizens a path towards reopening our economy and a light at the end of the tunnel.” The Badger Bounce Back, modeled after Federal guidelines, provides the state with goals to meet prior to reopening. This includes greatly increasing our testing capabilities, streamlining our contact tracing process, and providing more personal protective equipment for both health care professionals and Wisconsin businesses.

“We need to strike a balance between public safety and economic well-being. This plan is a step in the right direction, but it’s not likely the silver bullet. Changes will need to be made moving forward as situations change in real time. I am hopeful we can work together to provide the solutions our citizens deserve.”
