Fight Near Woodworth Middle School Results In Two Arrests

At least 7 students were involved in a Wednesday afternoon (5/25/2022) fight near Woodworth Middle School in Fond du Lac.

Fond du Lac PD responded to reports of an incident that became physical near S. National and E. 2nd St.

Preliminary investigation shows a 15-year-old Woodworth Middle
School student was riding his bike home when he was confronted by three (3) juveniles who were hiding behind the Marian University sign and started to physically assault the 15-year-old student.

The 15-year-old Woodworth student then returned back to Woodworth Middle School and started a fight inside the school with a student he believed was a mutual friend of the three (3) juveniles that just assaulted him. Another 13-year-old Woodworth Middle School student joined in the physical fight.

The 15-year-old was arrested on charges of Disorderly Conduct, Battery, and Terroristic Threats. The 13-year-old was arrested on charges of Disorderly Conduct and Battery.

The investigation into this incident is at the very preliminary stages and the fights remain under active investigation. FDLPD Officers and School Resource Officers are working to identify further participants in both fights. FDLPD Officers are also still actively attempting to identify
the three juveniles involved in the original fight. No additional details are available at this time.

The City of Fond du Lac Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue, and Wisconsin State Patrol.
