Fire At A Family Affair Soul Food Kitchen Remains Under Investigation

A Sunday evening restaurant fire in Fond du Lac remains under investigation this morning.

FDL Fire Rescue crews were called out Sunday just before 9:00 p.m. to A Family Affair Soul Food Kitchen, located in the 400 block of S. Main St. Early calls stated that there was the smell of something burning in the area. Fire crews arrived and saw a haze of smoke and discovered it was coming from the roof. Crews were able to enter the unoccupied building and encountered heavy smoke conditions inside, but were able to quickly extinguish the fire, but not before it caused interior damage. Alliant Energy was called out to secure both the gas and electric to the building. A Family Affair will remain closed until further notice.
