Fire At Mercury Marine

Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue was called to Mercury Marine Plant 17 just after one this morning for a reported fire in the dust collection system. According to Chief Peter O’Leary, fire crews were able to locate and isolate the fire in the vertical duct work for the dust collection system. The fire was put out and did not spread to the rest of the building. No injuries were reported and all employees evacuated safely. Crews were on scene for about one hour.
