Fire Chief Thinks Pandemic Could Be Cause Behind Increase In Overdose Deaths

The COVID-19 pandemic could be the culprit behind a record number of opioid overdose deaths in 2020, that according to Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue Chief Peter O’Leary. There were 17 deaths as a result of overdoses last year, compared to an average of 8 overdose deaths in the past few years . O’Leary believes the pandemic might be the main driver behind the increase, and people who already are addicted to drugs, are having an even tougher time as a result of the coronavirus challenges.
