Fire Damages Duplex In FDL, No Injuries Reported

An early morning fire resulted in heavy damages to a Fond du Lac duplex. FDL Fire and Rescue was called early Thursday (3/19/2020) morning to 241 N. Military Rd., for reports of a house on fire. Once on the scene, crews found a 2-story wood frame duplex engulfed in flames. 

The duplex was not occupied at the time and, according to the building owner, there was no one currently residing at the residence. There were no injuries reported, but the duplex did sustain serious damage. 

Alliant Energy was called to the on scene and secured utilities. The cause of the fire is unknown and is being investigated by investigators from FDLFR and FDLPD. Fond du Lac Police assisted with scene management and traffic control.
