Fire Damages Farmhouse In Town Of Germantown

Fourteen fire departments battled a house fire in the Town of Germantown Saturday morning. Washington County Sheriff’s officials say the fire on Fond du Lac Avenue caused about $150,000 to the farmhouse that was built around 1890. All five people in the home at the time of the blaze were able to get out. One of them was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. Due to the hot and humid conditions one firefighter was taken to a local hospital for a heat-related injury. The cause of the fire is being determined.
