Fire Destroys Garage In Kewaskum

Fire destroyed a detached garage in the Town of Kewaskum early Thursday morning. A passing motorist reported the blaze and notified two people in an adjacent home at 4578 County Trunk H. Washington County Sheriff’s officials say the Kewaskum Fire Department quickly extinguished the fire, but the garage was a total loss. It was valued at $50,000. Thunder and lightening from a storm moving through the area may have caused the fire.
