Fire Destroys Shed In St. Cloud

Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Sergeant Paul Rottscholl says a resident burning some garbage at W1337 Deerview Drive in St. Cloud started a fire that destroyed a 40 by 50 foot shed late Sunday morning. Michael O’Laughlin was burning garbage in a burning barrel when the fire started some grass on fire and spread to the shed. The shed was used to house a corn crib, chicken coop and hunting shack. The blaze destroyed most of the shed and a 1950’s vintage Ford tractor. The Mt. Calvary Fire Department was assisted by fire departments from St. Cloud, Eden the Town of Calumet, Campbellsport and Greenbush. The time of the fire call was just after 11:30 a.m.
