Fire Quickly Extinguished at Home on Hickory Street

Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue was able to quickly contain a fire at a home on north Hickory Street Sunday evening. Fire crews were called just after 5 pm to the home for a report of smoke in the house with a possible fire in the wall. Flames were visible on the outside of the house when firefighters arrived and they were able to contain the fire to the exterior of the home with no damage to the inside. Everyone inside the home was able to evacuate safely. No one was injured in the fire, which the Fire Department says is believed to be electrical in nature. Fond du Lac Police assisted at the scene.
