Firm Will Be Selected For Lakeside Park Master Plan

A committee will get together today to review three requests for proposals for a Lakeside Park master plan. Fond du Lac Public Works Director Jordan Skiff says they sent out requests for proposals to engineering and planning firms and three were interested in doing the plan for the City. He says they will incorporate some of the 27 recommendations the Lakeside Park Exploratory Committee came up with into the plan. He says about 10 of those recommendations will be included. Skiff says the firm they select to do the plan will have about four months to do their work. He says they would like the City Council to have the firm’s recommendations by late May in case they need to include funding in the 2017 City Budget for any of the suggestions. He says the public will get at least one opportunity if not more to see the recommendations before they go to the City Council. Skiff says one of the Lakeside Park Exploratory Committee recommendations they will include the plan is whether to upgrade the current pavilion at the park.
