First Flakes of the Season Possible Tonight

After a day full of sunshine on Sunday, forecasters are predicting
the first snowflakes of the season to fall tonight and into the early morning
hours on Tuesday. The National Weather Service is calling for rain to develop
across the region tonight and then transition to snow close to Midnight. Most
of the snow will fall during the overnight hours, but some could linger into
the early morning hours on Tuesday with possible impact on the morning commute.
Forecasters say the snow could amount to 1-2 inches of accumulation for most
locations, but some locally heavier amounts are possible. Partly Sunny skies
are then expected for Tuesday and Wednesday with highs around 40 both days.
