Fitchburg Man Sentenced For Beaver Dam Fleet Farm Store Shooting

The 19-year-old Fitchburg man who shot a Beaver Dam Fleet Farm employee has been sentenced to 15 years in prison and 20 years of extended supervision. Jared Spencer was sentenced in Dodge County Court Friday on an attempted 1st degree intentional homicide charge. Eight other charges were read into the record and dismissed. The Fleet Farm assistant manager and a store security employee confronted Spencer in the parking lot of the store about ammunition he stole on July 15th of 2015.  Spencer fired a handgun once striking the assistant manager in the left wrist and shoulder.
