Fives G & L Selling Parking Lot And Doing Upgrade

Fives Gidding & Lewis in Fond du Lac is selling its Johnson Street Parking lot and will also be updating its three-story facility at Johnson and Doty. Company officials say they moved most of their office employees to the building in January and those employees chose to use the parking lot on Doty Street next to the Fond du Lac River. VP and General Manager Kevin Lichtenberg says they don’t need the added room and maintenance of the Johnson Street parking lot and have decided to sell it. They have hired Bomier Properties to sell the parking lot. The Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation and Association of Commerce were contacted to work with Giddings & Lewis to find a buyer that will add value to the downtown. Fives will also be upgrading its facility removing some of the older parts of the building that date back to the 1940s. Lichtenberg says they will upgrade the building exterior with a new façade and smaller parking lot.
