Fond du Lac Area Breakfast on the Farm is Sunday

Sunday is a day to celebrate June Dairy Month in Fond du
Lac county, with the 31st annual Fond du Lac Area Breakfast on the Farm, put on by
the Envision Greater Fond du Lac Agri-Business Council. This year’s breakfast
is being hosted by Ron Loehr and family at Loehr Farms on Mushroom Road in
Eden. Loehr says he’s proud to continue farming on land he grew up on. “My mom
and dad bought the farm orginially in 1959, I have an older brother that lives
right down the road – he got involved in it, and then I got involved in 1984,
and now my wife and my three sons are involved in it,” Loehr says. “It’s a
thing that you really take pride in, that you can provide something for your
sons if they want to do it – which they do. I get no greater enjoyment than
farming with my family.”

The event runs from 8 am until Noon on Sunday, and features
breakfast, Culvers sundaes for sale, farm tours, family activities, the Alliant
Energy Foundation Kiddie Pedal Tractor Pull and much more. Tickets are $6 in
advance and $7 at the farm. Children age five and under are free. Parking is
limited at the farm, so people are encouraged to ride the free shuttle service
that is available from the Aurora Health Care Center on Highway 23 east in Fond
du Lac or from Baker Cheese in St. Cloud. Find out more details here.
