Fond du Lac Fire.Rescue Pull Man From River

For the second time in as many weeks, FDL Fire Rescue had to enter the Fond du Lac River. Personnel responded to the area
of Forest Avenue
and Macy Street Thursday night, June 25, around 8:10 p.m. for a report of a person that fell in the river.  Upon arrival, Fond du Lac Fire Rescue
personnel found two people in the river, the one male that fell in and another
by-stander that jumped in to assist the patient. The high banked walls at the
location of the incident did not allow for an easy rescue, with Rescue personnel having to set up a rope system attached to a
rescue basket to retrieve the man. The 39-year old male was transported to the
hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
