Fond du Lac PD Officers To Receive Heroic Action Award

Two Fond du Lac Police Department Officers will receive 2023 Wisconsin Professional Police Association Meritorious Awards.

Officers Alex Malueg and Kyle Hoefer have been selected by the Wisconsin Professional Police Association to receive the award for their heroic actions which took place back on August 27, 2022.

Officer Malueg and Officer Hoefer ran towards gunfire in the Family Dollar parking lot in pursuit of a suspect after he had shot into a car full of people.

The officers displayed incredible courage by immediately engaging with the shooting suspect. As the suspect fled, the two officers were completely selfless, disregarding their personal safety to catch him.

Officers Malueg and Hoefer will be recognized on April 29th in the Wisconsin Dells at an awards banquet.
