Fond du Lac Police Investigate Reported Mugging

Fond du Lac Police are investigating a possible mugging overnight.

Just after 2 AM this morning, the Fond du Lac County Communications Center received a call from a man that said he was just mugged near Forest Avenue and Brooke Street.

The man said the man that mugged him pushed something against his body that could have been a gun, but no weapon was seen.

Police instantly saturated the area and a person was detained matching the description of the assailant.

No other details as to what was taken or if police think it was the man responsible for the attack have been released.
