Fondy Boys Strike Down Lightning
The Fond du Lac boys basketball team dominated Appleton North in a 63-43 win at the Acuity Fieldhouse on Tuesday night. The Cardinals held North to just one first quarter basket as they raced out to a 19-5 lead after the first 8 minutes. Fondy expanded that lead to 18 at the break 35-17 and ballooned it to as many as 27 points in the 2nd half. Sophomore Brian Luteyn led all scorers with 17 points. Max Schebel chipped in 13 and Collin Pickart 12 for Fond du Lac. Mike Lukashewich paced North with 13 points. Fondy improves to 3-3 overall and 2-3 in the FVA.
