Fondy Food Pantry Announces Food For Thought Coordinator

Fondy Food Pantry, an organization offering food assistance to the
community since 1973, has announced a new coordinator for its Food For Thought
program. The Food For Thought program is a program under the Fondy Food Pantry
umbrella that helps feed elementary and middle-school aged children who are at
risk of not having food to eat on weekends. Currently, over 650 children are on
the program in the City of Fond du Lac, but that is only 29 percent of the
estimated need.

“It is with great pleasure that the Fondy Food Pantry announces that
Mallory Gilbertson, Vice President of the Pantry, has assumed the role of Food
For Thought Coordinator effective January 1.
Mallory brings a great deal of passion and dedication to her new role,”
stated Sandy Breth, President of the Fondy Food Pantry. “Mallory, in her new
role, will focus on maintaining collaboration between the organization and the
school system as well as determining ways to increase the program’s reach to
more children.”

“Food For Thought brings two important focuses together for me:
food and children who don’t have access to enough of it. FFT helps fill a large
need in our community and I’m honored and proud to be a part of it,” said
Gilbertson.

Children utilizing this program through the schools need specific foods
in individual sized containers and rely on the generosity of the community. To
learn more about the donations needed, including single-sized microwaveable,
shelf-stable meals, fruit cups, and more, please visit the Fondy Food Pantry
