Fondy Hockey Whips Cedarburg
The Fond du Lac boys hockey team advanced to the Sectional Final with a 4-1 win over Cedarburg on Tuesday night at the Blue Line Family Ice Center in Fond du Lac. Fondy got on the board early in the 1st period when Michael Wilson scored a goal assisted by Ty Rebedew and Jack Nejedlo. That was the only score of the period. In the 2nd period Fondy exploded out to a 4-0 lead on a Nejedlo goal that was unassisted. Rex Whealon then scored off an assist from Bailey Koenigs, and Aaron Krueger. Fondy’s final goal of the night went to Ty Rebedew from Wilson. Cedarburg’s lone goal came late in the 2nd by Joe Chapman. Fondy goalie Charlie Blagoue tallied 30 saves on the night. Fondy improves to 21-3-2 on the season. They will take on Homestead on Friday night in Hartland with a trip to state on the line. You’ll hear the game on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.
