Former Ag Secretary-designee Pfaff Gets New Job w/ Department of Administration

Former state Ag Secretary-designee Brad Pfaff has a new job
within Governor Tony Evers’ administration. The Governor announced Monday that
Pfaff has been hired as the Director of Business and Rural Development for the
State Department of Administration. Pfaff’s confirmation as state Ag Secretary
was rejected on a party-line vote by the State Senate last week. Republicans in
the senate cited a number of “missteps” by Pfaff since his approval by a
committee this spring that led to his confirmation being rejected. The
announcement of Pfaff’s hiring says that he will “leverage his extensive
experience at the federal, state and local levels to support and advocate for
Wisconsin small businesses and rural communities.”
