Former Campbellsport Couple Charged In Relation To Infant’s Death

Two former Campbellsport area residents have been charged with resisting or obstructing an officer for an incident last summer in which their infant son died and they allegedly lied about it. Twenty-year-old Mitchell Towne of Wadsworth, Illinois and 19-year-old Victoria Jarowski of West Bend made their initial appearances in Fond du Lac County Court Tuesday. The couple’s 4-month-old son Greyson died on July 7th of last year. They allegedly told investigators they found the infant in his playpen with a pillow over his head and he wasn’t breathing. The baby was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy proved to be inconclusive on the cause of death. Jarowski allegedly told investigators that she and Towne were up most of the night smoking marijuana. However investigators were originally told that the couple was up watching movies and talking most of the night. Both Towne and Jarowski were released on a $1,000 signature bond. The obstruction charge is a misdemeanor.
