Former FDL City Attorney Flader Dies

Former Fond du Lac City Attorney James Flader passed away suddenly at his home Saturday. He became Fond du Lac’s Assistant City Attorney in March of 1991 and was named the Interim City Attorney in January of 2005 after his predecessor Tom Ahrens became City Manager. Flader’s interim title was removed when he was named City Attorney in May of 2005, a position he held until his decision to retire in January of 2010. The Sheboygan native was an attorney for about 40 years. Visitation is this Friday from 3 to 5:45 p.m. at the Zacherl Funeral Home with in Fond du Lac with funeral services following at 6 p.m.  To see more of his obituary click here.
