Former FDL Police Officers Appeal Denied

Fond du Lac County Judge Peter Grimm recently granted a motion by the Fond du Lac Police and Fire Commission to dismiss an appeal by a police officer the commission fired last fall. The commission successfully argued that their secretary wasn’t properly served with Curt Beck’s notice of appeal. Last September Beck was fired because the commission felt he was dishonest. They also felt the investigation Police Chief Bill Lamb conducted of Beck was fair and reasonable. Beck’s lawyer Dan Kaminsky filed charges alleging Chief Lamb perjured himself during the investigation and committed misconduct in office. In closed session this week the commission reviewed documents related to those charges. A decision is expected soon.
