Former Officer Charged for Inmate Sexual Assault

A former corrections officer is being held on $100,000 cash bond for allegedly having inappropriate contact with an inmate at Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution. 24-year old Thomas Wiesner faces one felony count of 2^nd Degree Sexual Assault by Correctional Staff. The Fond du Lac man appeared in Sheboygan County Court this week – where the bond was set, along with a preliminary hearing scheduled for next week. Wiesner could face up to 25 years in prison, along with 15 years on extended supervision if convicted.
