Former Resident Jo Ann Ward Donates Matching Funds

Former Fond du Lac resident and long-time philanthropist of all things Fond du Lac, Jo Ann Ward, has provided two matching gifts earmarked for the Fond du Lac Area Foundation Disaster Relief Fund to support urgent needs caused by COVID-19, as well as the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) to support the increased need for services during “Safer At Home.”

Each of the two funds will receive $1,000 from Ward. Both funds are managed by the Fond du Lac Area Foundation. “We are grateful that Jo Ann has given us this opportunity, and for her continued support of the children, families, and businesses we serve through grants to nonprofit organizations,” said Joe Braun, executive director. Donations made to the Disaster Relief Fund or NAMI Fund by May 9 will be matched dollar-for-dollar.
