Four Elected to FDL City Council; Strand, Gedemer Elected to FDL School Board

The Fond du Lac City Council will have three returning
members and one new member join the council after the votes from last Tuesday’s
election were tabulated.


With 100 percent of precincts reporting, incumbents Ben
Giles, Kay Miller and Donna Richards were re-elected to the council, while newcomer
Arletta Allen earns the fourth spot. Unofficial numbers show Giles received
5,764 votes, while Miller received 5,337 votes. Allen got 4,802 votes, with
Richards getting 4,788.  


In the Fond du Lac School Board race, Mark Strand and Rick
Gedemer received the most votes of the three candidates running and were
elected to the board. Unofficial numbers show Strand received 7,666 votes with
Gedemer getting 5,253. Ish Harris finished in third in the voting, with just
over 4,100 votes.
