Two
people are in critical condition and another two were hurt after a seaplane
tipped over at the EAA Seaplane Base on Lake Winnebago
Thursday evening. Authorities say three people were aboard the seaplane leaving
to return to Minnesota
when it tipped over. Two people were trapped on the plane, while the third
person was able to get out when the door opened in the crash. Two of the people
suffered critical injuries while the third suffered non-life threatening
injuries. A first responder was also injured in the incident. Authorities say
the plane will be removed from the water this morning. The National
Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating
the crash. The Oshkosh Fire Department, US Coast Guard and workers from the
seaplane base also assisted at the scene.
