Friday Afternoon Chase Ends In Arrest

A Friday afternoon pursuit in Fond du Lac County ends with an OWI arrest. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies were notified Friday afternoon, January 29, 2021, just before 2:25 p.m., of a reckless driving complaint regarding a vehicle near Eden.  A witness reported that the vehicle had nearly caused a crash and forced another vehicle off the road. Deputies located and attempted to stop the vehicle on CTH V south of Eden.  The operator ignored the attempts and continued south on V.  Other deputies along with officers from the Campbellsport Police Department responded causing the operator to stop  just outside Campbellsport. The driver of the vehicle  was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated 5^th Offense along with other criminal traffic citations.  There was no property damage or personal injury from the pursuit, which lasted about 6.5 miles.
