Garage Destroyed by Fire in FDL

A garage was
destroyed by fire at a home on Ruggles
Street in the City of Fond du Lac Tuesday evening. Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue was called to the
scene around 6:15 pm where they found smoke and flames coming from a detached
garage on the property. The fire was also beginning to burn the side of the
single family home. Firefighters were able to put out both fires – with the
home receiving minor damage and the two-stall garage being destroyed. Three
other nearby structures received heat damage as a result of the fire. The
homeowner was at home at the time of the call. No injuries were reported. The
cause of the fire is still under investigation.
