Gas Price Report : Prices in WI, Nation Both Jump This Week

Gas prices took a jump on both a state and national level
last week, but Wisconsin’s average cost at the pump remains below the national average.
Triple-A says the average price for a gallon of gas in Wisconsin rose nine
cents to $2.57 this week, and 10 cents to $2.66 on the national level. That
spike in gas prices despite lower gas demand with the start of the fall season
is on account of oil prices rising sharply after attacks on oil facilities in
Saudi Arabia last week.

In Wisconsin, drivers in Milwaukee County are seeing the
lowest gas prices at $2.45 a gallon, while Price County in northern Wisconsin has
the highest price at the pump at $2.86. In Fond du Lac County, drivers are
seeing an average price of $2.52 a gallon when they fill up.
