Gas Prices Continue Downward Trend

Gas prices continued to drop around the area last week – but analysts aren’t sure that trend will stick around much longer. Gasbuddy says prices in Appleton dropped 1.6 cents last week to $2.72 per gallon, while Green Bay fell 1.2 cents to about the same price. The national average went down more than five cents last week to $2.83 – while here in Fond du Lac we’re seeing prices right around $2.65 per gallon. Due to a smaller than expected increase of oil production by OPEC, crude oil prices shot up five-percent on Friday. Some analysts worry that will cause prices to rise through the July 4^th holiday weekend.
