Gas Prices Continue to Drop to Open September

Gas prices in Wisconsin and across the country continue to
decline as we begin the month of September. As of Monday, Triple-A reports the
average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas was down three cents in Wisconsin
from last week to $2.52. Meanwhile, the national average dipped two cents to $2.57.
The national average has dropped 15 cents in a month, and is 26 cents cheaper
than a year ago. In Wisconsin, drivers in Milwaukee, Outagamie and Rock
Counties are seeing the lowest price at the pump at $2.42. Barron County in
northwest Wisconsin has the highest price at $2.72. In Fond du Lac County, the
average price per gallon sits at $2.47.
