Gas Prices In WI Increase, Refinery Shutdowns In TX Not To Blame

Gas prices in Wisconsin continue to increased. Nick Jarmusz is with Triple-A Wisconsin.

“Depending on where you are, for the state we’re seeing an average increase that is about 15 cents, but in some places it is more than that.”

Jarmusz said that prices are still lower than the five-year average. He adds that refinery shutdowns along the Texas Gulf coast are having little direct effect in Wisconsin, as gasoline sold here is refined in Superior and the Chicago area, from Canadian crude oil.
