Goebel Insurance Building Hit By Vehicle In FDL

Rain appears to be the cause of a Monday afternoon traffic accident that resulted in a vehicle leaving the road and striking a building in Fond du Lac. The accident occurred shortly before 1:00 p.m. Monday, when a vehicle heading south on I-41, just south of the Hwy. 23 interchange, hydro-planed on the roadway, and ended up hitting the Goebel Insurance and Financial Home office located at 131 N. Rolling Meadows Dr. 

No one was injured, but the building sustained serious damage. Power was turned off to the building due to exposed wires. Contractors and the power company were working to get repairs made and power turned back on. Representatives from Goebel Insurance stated in a social media post they planned on being open for business Tuesday morning.
