Goldstein Takes Over As Interim Chief, Search For New Chief Begins

The search now begins for the next City of Fond du Lac Chief of Police, following the retirement Tuesday of Chief William Lamb. Assistant Chief Aaron Goldstein will assume the role of Interim Chief of Police.

A search firm has been hired to assist in filling the role, with City Attorney Deborah Hoffmann telling KFIZ News there were 8 proposals submitted for the RFP for a Chief of Police Search.  The Police and Fire Commission met on May 3rd and discussed all the proposals.

City of Fond du Lac Deputy Procurement Officer, Josh Musack, facilitated the rating process and each Commissioner provided their ratings of the various applicants.  Baker Tilly US, LLP received the highest ratings and was chosen to do the Police Chief Search.

City Staff has been working with the consultants from Baker Tilly to prepare for the search process and additional information will be provided when the search timeline in finalized.
