Goldstein to be Promoted to FDL PD Assistant Chief

The City of Fond du Lac Police Department will have a new
Assistant Chief of Police. Captain Aaron Goldstein is being promoted to
Assistant Chief, replacing Assistant Chief Steve Thiry who is retiring in July
after 27 years of service with the department. Goldstein joined the department
in 1998 as a Police Officer, was promoted to Lieutenant in 2005, then to
Administrative Lieutenant in 2009. In 2012, Goldstein then was promoted to
Captain where he served as a Patrol Division/East District Commander and most
recently as the Commander of the Support Services Division. In his current
role, Goldstein is responsible for oversight of training, recruitment and
hiring, records, strategic planning, evidence and property control, community
services and crime prevention and has served as the Accreditation Manager for
the department. A promotional pinning ceremony will be held in July.
