GOP Assembly Members Push for Evers to Keep Tourism Secretary

Republicans are pushing for Governor Elect Tony Evers to keep state tourism secretary Stephanie Klett. Ten members of the state Assembly tourism committee sent Evers a letting urging him to keep her in charge of rate department.
The letter points to Klett’s efforts, which helped grow tourism from a $14.8 billion industry in 2011 into a more than $20.6 billion industry. The letter says Evers will face many difficult decisions, but this shouldn’t be one of them. An online petition demanding that she keep her job has about 1,500 signatures.
