GOP State Attorney General Candidate Visits FDL

State Attorney General candidate Brad Schimel visited the Fond du Lac area over the weekend. Schimel talked to the Republican Party faithful in Fond du Lac about the differences between himself and his three Democratic opponents. He feels the heroin and prescription drug problem is a top priority and says he has a comprehensive plan for dealing with it. He also says unlike his opponents he would defend the state’s marriage amendment and Voter ID law. Schimel would like to see the state’s district attorneys’ program moved to the guidance of the Department of Justice rather than the Department of Administration where it currently is. The Waukesha County DA says he also has a plan for reducing the backlog of drugged driving cases waiting for testing in the state hygiene lab. Schimel faces the winner of next month’s Democratic primary in November.
