Governor Addresses Propane Shortage At FCEDC Meeting

It was supposed to be an evening to promote economic development, but Governor Scott Walker Thursday night in Fond du Lac also used the opportunity to update people about the propane shortage. During the Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation’s annual meeting Walker said the president and his administration checked off on all the things he asked for. He also talked with Texas Governor Rick Perry yesterday and thanked him for lifting weight and other restrictions to bring propane out of that state to Wisconsin and other Midwest states. Walker says exports are also being redirected to the Midwest, which should help lower propane prices. He says the state has a lot of proud residents, but they shouldn’t be afraid of getting help if they are in danger of losing heat in their homes during bitterly cold winter temperatures.
