Governor Talks About Cyber Security

Governor Scott Walker says cyber security is becoming more of an issue for the state. It is one of the things he talked about during the Annual Governor’s Conference on Emergency Management and Homeland Security last week. He told KFIZ News the state blocks millions of attacks daily targeting state agencies. He says there are around 2 million attacks a day targeting state agencies.  He says they also have to worry about e-mail attacks to state agencies. He says there are about 3 million e-mails a day to state agencies and they have to block about 94 percent of them because they are ultimately malicious in intent. Walker says one of the things they have planned for is how to block a cyber attack on public facilities and other infrastructure. The annual conference was held in Wisconsin Dells.
